Your data security is of utmost importance to us, and we take seriously any aspect regarding the protection of your data.
Starting May 25, 2018, the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of individuals concerning the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), has been implemented. This means that any Operator/entity processing personal data must apply these new requirements and provide information transparently about how the data is processed.

Considering the need to comply with GDPR provisions, and that we are dedicated to taking care of your personal data (which may include name, first name, email address, depending on the processing purpose) found in our database, we inform you that they are used solely for successfully fulfilling the processes carried out in relation with you (we mention a few processes without being limited to these: reservation/sale/order processing, transport and deliveries, customer relations maintenance).
To improve your online browsing experience, we use cookies that facilitate the use of the online store www.trustengineeringgroup.com by visitors. The complete list of third-party cookies can be consulted below.

1. WHAT IS A “COOKIE”?

An “Internet Cookie” (also known as “browser cookie”, “HTTP cookie”, or simply “cookie”) is a small file, consisting of letters and numbers, stored on a user’s computer, mobile terminal, or other equipment from which the Internet is accessed. The cookie is installed by a request issued from a web server to a browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) and is entirely “passive” (does not contain software programs, viruses or spyware and cannot access the information on the user’s hard drive).
A cookie consists of two parts: the name and the content or the cookie value. Moreover, a cookie’s lifespan is determined; technically, only the server that sent the cookie can access it again when a user returns to the website associated with the web server.
Cookies play a crucial role in facilitating access and delivering multiple services the user enjoys on the Internet, such as:

  • Personalizing certain settings such as: the language in which a site is viewed, the currency in which certain prices or rates are expressed, keeping options for various products (quantity, other details);
  • Cookies provide site owners valuable feedback on how their sites are used by users, so they can make them more efficient and accessible to users;
  • Allow multimedia or other types of applications from other sites to be included in a particular site to create a more valuable, useful, and enjoyable browsing experience.

Cookies themselves do not require personal information to be used and, in most cases, do not personally identify Internet users.
There are two major categories of cookies:

  • Session cookies – these are temporarily stored in the web browser’s cookie file for it to remember them until the user exits the respective website or closes the browser window (e.g., when logging/linking to a webmail account or on social networks);
  • Persistent cookies – These are stored on a computer or equipment’s hard-drive (and generally depend on the cookie’s preset lifespan). Persistent cookies also include those placed by another website than the one the user visits at the moment – known as ‘third-party cookies’ (cookies placed by third parties) – which can be used anonymously to store a user’s interests, so the advertising delivered to users is as relevant as possible.
2. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF COOKIES?

Cookies are managed by web servers. The lifespan of a cookie can vary significantly, depending on the purpose it is placed for. Some cookies are used exclusively for a single session (session cookies) and are no longer retained once the user has left the website, and some cookies are retained and reused every time the user returns to that website (‘permanent cookies’). However, cookies can be deleted by a user at any time through browser settings.

In general, the role of cookies is to ensure a quick and easy interaction between users and websites. Also, cookies are used so that users can easily resume their activities during the next access to a website previously visited. Practically, cookies tell the server which pages to display to the user, without the latter having to remember pages navigated or navigate the entire website from the beginning.

3. WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?
4. HOW ARE COOKIES USED ON THIS SITE?

Session Cookie
Session cookies are stored on the user’s device during the browsing session. They store an anonymous session identifier, allowing the user to visit a website without having to enter identification information (username, password) on each page.
Such cookies are often used in an online store. For example, when a user visits a particular page and selects certain products, the cookie retains the selected products and adds them to the shopping cart, which will contain all the selected products when the user wants to leave the page.
Session cookies are stored in the device memory only during an internet browsing session and are deleted when the browser is closed. Also, they can become inaccessible if the session has been inactive for a certain period.

Strictly Necessary Cookies and Third-Party Cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies are those cookies that we consider fundamental for the correct functioning of the site and to provide you with a pleasant browsing experience. Third-Party Cookies are meant to enhance your browsing experience. On this list are:

5. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION IS STORED AND ACCESSED THROUGH COOKIES?

Cookies retain information in a small-sized text file that allows a website to recognize a browser. The web server will recognize the browser until the cookie expires or is deleted. The cookie stores important information that enhances the internet browsing experience (for example: the user session ID, the referral page, the current time).

6. WHY ARE COOKIES IMPORTANT FOR THE INTERNET?

Cookies are the central point of the efficient functioning of the Internet, helping to generate a friendly browsing experience adapted to the preferences and interests of each user. Refusing or disabling cookies can make some sites impossible to use. Refusing or disabling cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive online advertising – but only that it will no longer be able to take into account your preferences and interests, highlighted by browsing behavior.
Examples of important uses of cookies (which do not require user authentication through an account):

  • Content and services tailored to user preferences;
  • Offers adapted to users’ interests – language preferences (for example, displaying search results in German);
  • Providing more relevant advertising for the user;
  • Measurement, optimization, and analytics features – such as confirming a certain level of traffic on a website, what type of content is viewed and how a user arrives at a website (for example: through search engines, directly, from other websites). Websites run these analyses of their use to improve the sites for the benefit of users.
7. DATA SECURITY AND PRIVACY ISSUES?

Cookies are NOT viruses! They use a plain text format. They are not made up of pieces of code so they cannot be executed nor can they auto-run. Consequently, they cannot duplicate or replicate on other networks to run or replicate again. Because they cannot perform these functions, they cannot be considered viruses. Cookies can however be used for negative purposes. Many anti-spyware products are aware of this and constantly mark cookies to be deleted during deletion/scanning procedures of anti-virus/anti-spyware.

Generally, browsers have integrated privacy settings that provide different levels of cookie acceptance, validity period, and automatic deletion after the user has visited a particular site.
Consult the privacy policy.

To improve user experience, we use the following technologies:

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our websites and web applications. For example, we collect details such as the source of the visit and the total number of visitors to our websites and applications. This allows us to determine the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and user activity on our websites and applications.

Find more details about Google Analytics privacy policy here: https://support.google.com.

8. HOW CAN I STOP COOKIES?

Deactivating and refusing to receive cookies can make certain sites impracticable or difficult to visit and use. Also, refusing to accept cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive/see online advertising.

It is possible to set up the browser so that these cookies are no longer accepted or you can set the browser to accept cookies from a specific site.

Some browsing browsers have the “Do not track” function that allows users not to be tracked during browsing. Blocking cookies or using the “Do not track” mode can block certain features on our sites.

All modern browsers offer the possibility to change cookie settings. These settings are usually found in the “options” or in the “preferences” menu of your browser. To understand these settings, the following links may be useful, otherwise, you can use the “help” option of the browser for more details.

To learn more about enabling/disabling or deleting cookies from the browser you can access this page: http://www.allaboutcookies.org/.
